Landing was precarious. Nothing is as it seemed from above. The shoreline sparkles. Although, it is not with soft, warm sand. But, with shards of broken glass. Flora offers no nutritional value and fauna is solely carnivorous.
Confusing whispers haunt tepid, humid breezes with remembrance that ignorance and neglect reign supreme over this strange land. Beautiful paradise has been revealed as ravenous wilderness. Still, I have no longing for that island sanctuary I once called home.
It is my belief that another opinion of this place lay on the other side of its skyscraping mountains. Radiant warmth and lightbeams beckon to tease me from the seemingly unreachable valley beyond. Consuming desire to discover this mystery has swollen my heart. I will continue forward even if I have to dig a hole straight through these monstrous mountains with my bare hands.
